Lalitpur power project is a proposed 1980 megawatt coal-fired plant promoted by Bajaj Hindusthan at Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Bajaj Hindusthan Ltd a part of the largest Indian sugar and ethanol manufacturing company. In 2010 Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bajaj Hindustan which says that Bajaj would build the plant and sell 90% of the power to the state-owned utility and stated that the scheduled commissioning date is 2014.
