Barabanki power project is a proposed 250 (MW) coal-fired power project at Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh, India. In November 2014 the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission said it had quashed setting up four thermal power plants of over 1700 MW capacity, saying the companies were lagging far behind in completing the projects despite being given two extensions.
