Korba South Thermal Power Project is a 1000 megawatt coal-fired power station which has been proposed by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company for the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India.
The station has been proposed by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company, a publicly-owned generation utility formed in 2009 following the restructuring of the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board. The company is proposing to build the power station near the villages of Risdi and Risda in the Korba district of Chhattisgarh, India. On its website the company states the project will be commissioned in 2014, but as of March 2015 has yet to receive environmental clearance.
