Ankulapatur power project is a proposed 420 MW coal based thermal Power station promoted by Dr. RKP Power at Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh, India.
In 2014 it was reported the company had completed a public hearing for the 120 MW plant, and applied for environmental clearance from the Union ministry of environment and forests. Activists say the pubic hearing should be redone because residents that would be affected by the plant were kept away.
Land Acquisition – 209 acres identified and application made for allotment of land
Power to be evacuated through PGCIL’s 220 kV line.
Consultant appointed for preparing draft EIA report and obtaining TOR from MoEF.
