Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda on Wednesday told a special court that the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was aware of “everything” in the coal block allocation to Jindal Steel.
“If at all there was a conspiracy, it cannot be complete without the knowledge of the then PM,” Koda said.
He has filed a plea in the court to summon Singh in the case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation will respond to Koda’s plea seeking summoning of Singh as additional accused in the case on Thursday, sources said.
On August 31, former Coal Secretary H C Gupta had told the special court that Singh had given the “final approval” for allocation of coal block to Kamal Sponge Steel and Power Ltd (KSSPL).
