In a filing made to the exchange on Tuesday, electricity supplier Adani Powers signed a major contract with Bangladesh Power Supply Board. As per the filing, the Adani Powers’ wholly owned subsidiary – Adani Power Jharkhand Limited – signed a Long Term Purchase Power Agreement (PPA).
The PPA states the transfer of net capacity of 1496 MW of Electricity to Bangladesh Power Development Board for a span of 25 years.
Adani Power Ltd is currently trading at Rs 34.3, up by Rs 0.5 or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs 33.8 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 34.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 34.4 and Rs 33.95 respectively.
Adani Power, part of the Adani group, is India’s largest private sector power producer with operating capacity of 10,440 MW. Its plant at Mundra, Gujarat (4620 MW) is the largest single-location coal based private power plant in the world.
